On a beautiful spring day, we shot Monica and Patrick’s wedding in the courtyard of the Argonaut Hotel, situated in an historic building fronting the Bay. I can’t imagine a more perfect day. My super-cool brother, Joseph Kohn, also won First Place for the 2010 Best of the Bay Wedding Photographer. It feels so great because it’s such a rush to work together. A brilliant Saratoga day shone for Catt and Keith’s wedding at stately Villa Montalvo. Catt was stunning in her traditional Vietnamese red gown, her sparking white wedding gown, and her red hot dress for the reception. Keith spoke his vows without notes and Catt got a little choked up as she read hers. It was a pleasure to be with Catt and Keith on this charmed day. Thank you both!

Stephanie & Homero | Palm Event Center wedding

Wedding season is coming into full swing and it was a delightful April day shooting the wedding of Stephanie and Homero at one of our fav venues, Palm Event Center. It’s a great spot for a big celebration like theirs. Stephanie was absolutely beautiful and Homero was not only handsome, he also got his tie straight-- with a little help from his friends. It was an honor to be there with them and we hope they enjoy their wedding video as much as we did making it.

Vivian and Tom’s wedding stood out as the perfect wedding.

The festivities were last Saturday and I made a New Year’s resolution to complete the highlights video within a few days. Their wonderful wedding made it more fun than work and I’m off to a good start.

What a great couple Vivian and Tom make! It was so fun getting to know them. And what a great time we had shooting their wedding.

Oshman Family JCC | Bat Mitzvah | Kenlyn

Occasionally I’m one lucky dude and I get to video a special occasion that isn’t a wedding, but another kind of joyful rite of passage. I was privileged to film the Bat Mitzvah of Kenlyn, a truly lovely young woman. This party was really a blast.

Congregation Beth Am in Los Altos was the setting for the ceremony, and the reception took place at the brand new Oshman Family Jewish Community Center. Such a beautiful new building! Yow!

Suzy from Always r.s.v.p events planned the event (we saw her earlier at Sarah and Adam’s wedding at Meadowood). Her great planning is evident in the colorful theme, cool music, and everyone having lots of fun. Suzy’s the best!

Bat and Bar Mitzvah’s are so much fun. I wish could shoot more of them. Pssst! Pass the word.

It’s always a pleasure to shoot a wedding, and Rachel and Shane’s was no exception. Nestled among olives tress and grape vines, their festivities unfolded at the beautiful Casa Real (Royal House) at Ruby Hill Winery in Pleasanton. It was a royal occasion indeed, and I wish Rachel and Shane all the best.
